Your office address often gives the first impression of your company’s credibility to investors and clients. However, given the land scarcity in Singapore, renting an office space can be a heavy expense especially for a startup/small company. Why is a Registered Office Address Needed?

It is mandatory for all Singapore business entities to have a local registered office address whereby all government mail and notices will be sent. The Registered office must be opened and be accessible to the public for at least five hours during ordinary business hours for each business day. The Company’s Registers and Minutes are also kept at the registered office, unless the Directors decide by Resolution to change the location.

The registered office address should be a physical office (which can either be a residential or commercial address). However, the address cannot be a P.O. Box number.
